Please note that CCTV is in operation at the tip and staff are fitted with body-worn cameras at all times. Landlords and other businesses are strictly prohibited from using the centre and all waste deposited at the site is monitored. If you do not have a Sandwell postcode you will not be able to book.We are unable to accept fridges or freezers at the Household Recycling Centre (tip) Shidas Lane, Oldbury until further notice. Sometimes during weekends and school holidays we can get busy and you may have to queue to enter. Check if you will need a free permit before you travel to a waste and recycling centre. Other vehicle types are not allowed to enter a waste and recycling centre at all. Please arrive in good time for bookings from 4.30pm and ensure you can unload your vehicle before the site closes. Before you book, check if there are items you can recycle at home. We reserve the right to cancel any multiple bookings made in a 7 day period.
